Our Impact

The 2017-2018 academic term is our first year as a non-profit. Our focus for the initial twelve months will be small gifts that have an outsized impact. We have chosen two areas to direct our efforts.

Foundation Education Events

“Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.”
― Aristotle

Each child views the world through their own unique eyes and each of them sees something different. Because of this, children who best learn in a way outside of established methods may not reach their full potential.

For A Good Koss seeks to reach all children through the power of learning, especially those who may be overlooked in the traditional classroom environment. Our current approach consists of regular events held in public spaces that teach with kind, creative, and joyful education programs.

Our 2017-2018 calendar is currently in the planning stages. If you have a suggestion for an event or you would like to lead one yourself, please reach out to us through the Get Involved page.

Music Scholarships

“I would teach children music, physics, and philosophy; but most importantly music, for the patterns in music and all the arts are the keys to learning”

― Plato

Music carries our emotions, our culture, and our creativity. Research has also shown that music increases students’ memory, speech, and mathematics skills. There is no shortage of children who cannot afford to have music in their lives.

As such, music education is fundamental to our mission of inspiring children to be curious. We seek to give the gift of music, one child, one instrument, one program at a time. For A Good Koss currently directs donations towards existing K-12 music programs and will in the near future create a scholarship program within the foundation itself.
